I`m a musician and creative spirit ,want to share?
Before I got married, I never really saw the reason for marriage. I theorized that if a couple really loved each other and were committed to the relationship, I couldn't see the point in getting a piece of paper validating that commitment. I have come to believe that there is something special about marriage, though, and I did not intend for that marriage to end, as I was serious when I took those vows. Nevertheless, what happened happened, and we grew apart, and now she lives several states away, and I haven't seen her in years. We have been divrced since 2005 and were separated for a time before that. I think having been married gives people a different insight into living together as couples, and though we never had children, I think having that legal commitment might be more important if children are involved. I am undecided as to having children at this point, but I am open to the idea of raising a family 'from scratch' and the idea of 'adopting' a pre-existing family is certainly not outside the realm of consideration!
