Hello, I'm recently divorced, and decided it's time to start looking around. I am over my ex, but I'm not ready to jump right into a hot heavy relationship immediately. I believe in the old saying "Slow and steady wins the race". I would like to find a nice lady to spend some time with and have fun with. Someone who will be willing to walk with me before we run, romantically speaking. Just a lady friend to spend time with would be nice right now, and if more comes of that with time, great! If not, that's fine too. Among the things I enjoy doing are cooking (especially grilling), playing guitar, shooting, gardening, homebrewing, reading, watching movies especially sci-fi and westerns, raising chickens and ducks, woodcarving, and spending time with my dog. I'm also a big history nut, whether it is US history, ancient history, or anything else. I'm a simple guy, easy to please most of the time. Also, I have a great sense of humor. Once you get to know me, you'll be well entertained.
I am also getting into fitness to try to get back in shape, and am eating out of my garden and putting together a nice home gym. The lady I am interested in will be someone who will want to start out slow and take our time. Sure, I'd love to find my soul mate, but I don't believe that just happens overnight. She needs to be interested in at least some of the same things as me, or be willing to learn about them, as I will also be willing to learn about what she enjoys.
I travel a lot during the week for work, but I'm home every weekend. I'm not really very interested in the bars, my friends are all married with kids, and my last relationship lasted 7 years. That makes it difficult to meet new people for dating, so here I am!
Kids aren't a problem, I don't have any yet but I love them. Just please be single or divorced. I treat others as I wish to be treated, so I don't play games and don't want them played with me.
