I was in a relationship with my wife for 3 years before we were married then she decided to call it quits less than a year later...I can explain more later if you wish, but for now I will say only this: I tend to like people more if they are completely honest and up front about how they are feeling, more than that, I will like a person more if they do not give up...in particular on a committed relationship (such as a marriage). I am not saying I dislike people who quit...I am only saying I will probably like you more if you show me you are willing to really fight for your chance.
